Chapter 6

(pg. 123) sprawling - to be stretched or spread out in an unnatural or ungraceful manner

(pg. 137) discrepancy - the state or quality of being discrepant; difference; inconsistency.

Chapter 7

(pg. 148) asphalt - a mixture of such substances with gravel, crushed rock, or the like, used for paving

(pg. 151) convulsing - to shake violently; agitate.

(pg. 167) slender - having a circumference that is small in proportion to the height or length
